- SONG DIRECTORIES:
-
- The JAMMER now creates a song directory for you. If you installed to the
- directory C:\JAMWIN, the new song directory will be C:\JAMWIN\SONGS.
- Extra songs will be in the directory C:\JAMWIN\SONGS\MORE.
-
-
- BAND AND DRUM STYLES:
-
- The JAMMER now ships with over 200 band styles including intros, grooves,
- breaks, stops, holds and endings. The JAMMER also ships with a sampling of
- drum styles. Drum styles may be loaded into the current band style
- without affecting the current instrument tracks. Contact Soundtrek for
- the availability of additional band and drum style disks.
-
-
- UPDATED VERSIONS:
-
- If you updated from an earlier version of the JAMMER for Windows, you
- may delete the JAMMERW.SYS file from your Windows directory.
-
- The JAMMER now ships with a new group of band style files. The JAMMER
- will continue to load older band styles. However, if you no longer wish
- to use the previous band styles, you may delete them. They are located
- in the directory where the previous version of the JAMMER for Windows
- was installed. Version 2.0 band styles have a ".bnd" file extension.
- Previous versions of the JAMMER used ".sty" as the extension for band
- style files.
-
-
- GETTING STARTED:
-
- The easiest way to get up and running with the JAMMER is to follow the
- tutorial. You may use the manual or the tutorial help file. It covers
- most aspects involved in creating songs in the JAMMER. The song
- tutorial.cmp was created by following the tutorial.
-
-
- SYSTEM PERFORMANCE AND TRACK LEDÆs:
-
- Track LED's can take lots of processor time. If your machine responds
- slowly during playback, disabling this feature may be all that is
- necessary.
-
- Please note that by default, the LED's in the Tracks Window are enabled.
- If you have a slower machine (such as a 386sx 16Mhz), you may want to
- disable the track LED's. This can be done in the Preferences Dialog in
- the Window menu.
-
- As a last resort, you may want to try running Windows in Standard Mode
- (Type "win /s" from the DOS prompt).
-
-
- the JAMMER Professional
-
- If you want the ultimate control over the creation over your songs, check
- out the JAMMER Professional Demo. With the JAMMER Professional, you may
- set up your own custom styles with ease. Please contact Soundtrek for
- information about upgrading to the JAMMER Professional.
